Building for the Future

There are time in an organization’s history when momentous change is underway. This past year, Arts Umbrella has had some incredible opportunities and big announcements.

We launched new scholarship programs, new intensives for teens, and expanded our outreach programming.

Perhaps the most impactful event of the year was the announcement that Arts Umbrella would be given a unique opportunity to move into the South Building of the former Emily Carr University of Art + Design—truly a once-in-a-lifetime situation.

As we look back on 2017/18, we see Arts Umbrella surrounded by so much goodwill. Looking forward, as we build for the future, we’re reminded time and again that we have been built by our community. Together, we’re building a better future for generations to come!
