We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated and supported our GivingTuesday campaign this year! Thanks to you, we were able to raise $6,550 for our free Community Programs! Your generous contributions will help us bring the life changing benefits of an arts education to vulnerable children who would not otherwise be able to access high quality extra-curricular programs.

2014 marked our first ever GivingTuesday campaign. We had several people make donations in the name of a friend, as a very special Christmas present. It was especially meaningful for our alumni, who have experienced Arts Umbrella’s transformational programs themselves and can now share that gift with another child.

We had one family hold an Open House over the holidays and asked their guests to support a family giving initiative. Collectively, that family raised $500 over the holidays!

We even had a few celebrities publicly show their support for Arts Umbrella and arts education, which greatly helped spread our message and raise awareness of our mission to inspire creativity.

Because of selfless acts like these and more, we are going to be bringing some amazing Dance, Theatre and Visual Arts classes absolutely free-of-charge into neighbourhoods across Metro Vancouver in 2015.
