Born in 1977, Bewabon Shilling is the eldest son of Ojibway artist Arthur Shilling. Much like his father, he feels a deep connection to his studio in Rama, Ontario. Shilling’s subject matter consists mainly of his environment and its local inhabitants. His 2020 contribution is from his Tree Series, inspired by the thick forest that surrounds his studio. It was painted in the early winter of 2020.
