We have some exciting news to share about the Hudson’s Bay Company’s 100th Anniversary event!
With the help of our amazing volunteers, event attendees and HBC, we were able to raise $2,990 for Arts Umbrella’s outreach programs. The Hudson’s Bay Company has also pledged an additional $6,000 to help provide at-risk children with access to the arts. We are incredibly grateful for everyone’s continued support and a very special thank you to HBC for organizing the event! All together we raised almost $9,000!
“We are so thankful for the support from all the people who came out to the event and of course, the Hudson’s Bay Company,” said Kari Gundersen, Development Officer at Arts Umbrella. “The funds raised will go towards Arts Umbrella programs that ensure at-risk children across the Lower Mainland have access to the arts.”
Arts Umbrella outreach programs help children overcome the social, economic and geographic barriers to explore the arts. This fundraiser and HBC’s donation mean that more children will have access to free, high-quality arts education in the communities that need it most. Through this, kids can experience the life-long benefits of an arts education.
Once again thank you to the Hudson’s Bay Company and everyone who helped make this event a huge success!
