Alexa initially joined Arts Umbrella as a Student Services Assistant in 2021 and has been working in the Dance Department as the Dance Coordinator since late 2022.

After discovering acting and theatre in elementary school, Alexa has cultivated a lifelong passion for the performing arts. She has been involved in Vancouver theatre as an actor, director, and sound designer, and is involved in the local music scene as an independent artist and songwriter. Alexa holds a B.A. from UBC with a double major in Human Geography and Theatre. Her studies primarily focused on a combination of urban planning and socio-political geographies in addition to critical theatre analysis, theatre history, dramaturgy, and theatre performance. Alexa is currently pursuing a Marketing Management certificate through BCIT and also works as a freelance content creator and social media manager.

Alexa recognizes the importance of arts education for and is thrilled to be able to support the students at Arts Umbrella on their artistic journeys.
