About our Scholarship Programs

Created in partnership with organizations such as the Vancouver Art Gallery, Electronic Arts, Urbanarium, and the Contemporary Art Gallery, our application-based Scholarship Programs provide teens with an opportunity to work alongside dedicated peers and passionate industry experts.

These programs provide unprecedented access to the experts and experience found in diverse industries such as architecture, animation, and contemporary art. Programs are offered as full scholarships thanks to the support of our generous donors and partners, and are accessible to all aspiring young artists.

We encourage applications from youth that identify as members of underrepresented groups.

Art Exchange

This full-scholarship contemporary arts program for students ages 13 to 15 is a collaboration between Arts Umbrella and the Vancouver Art Gallery.

EA Teen Animation Scholarship

A full-scholarship opportunity offering 15-19 year olds the chance to work with animation and gaming industry professionals to explore media arts tools and technology.

Contemporary Art Practices

In collaboration with the Contemporary Art Gallery, this three-week, intensive scholarship program is designed for teens interested in advancing their contemporary art practice.

Architecture Summer Intensive

This scholarship intensive is a two-week, hands-on program that pairs teens with industry experts. A rare opportunity to work with some of Metro Vancouver’s most celebrated architecture insiders.
